Surfing and surf lessons are a great way for your child to learn more about the ocean, themselves and how to have fun in Siargao Island, the Philippines! We offer special surf lessons for kids as surfers under the age of 15 need more supervision and a team who genuinely enjoys the company of children and has had experience with them.

Surfista Travels in Siargao offer programs designed especially for your kids! Elaine Abonal and Oliver Bayer are ISA (International Surfing Association) Level 1 International Surf Instructor Certified and completed first aid and lifeguard training in Bali, Indonesia. Elaine Abonal has been a teacher since 2008 and is used to children of different nationalities and ages starting at the age of five and loves seeing her students learn and stand up on a surfboard for the first time! She can also speak English, French, Spanish and Tagalog while Oliver speaks German and English to better communicate with your children.

Surfista Travels has also been doing surf camps with families and their children since 2012 and is one of the first surf tour and surfing lessons companies in the Philippines that dedicate quality and professional service so that our Surfistas, especially the kids, learn how to SURF, stay SAFE, and have FUN!

The lessons are private and each child has a specifically chosen local instructor EACH as well. (One person pushes the surfboard and another person “catches” your kids in front).

PRICE / per person: P2,500 / 55 USD

P2,000 per person / 45 USD for groups of 5

Extra costs:

Boat trips to surf spots (Depends where P150 – 300 / per person)
Motorbike / Van ride to farther surf spots
Extra hour with board rental = P1,500/person/hour = $35
SURF PHOTOS (Someone in the water taking professional photos as your child surfs!)
